This is exactly the same home movie kit that I use.

The Canon HF-M31 camera is small, very easy to use and produces brilliant pictures. The wide angle adaptor is essential for that wonderful wide view. I would only buy a camera that connects to a good mic like the DM100 and the Canon does, via it's Mini S hot shoe. The DM100 gun mic is perfect for capturing clear dialogue.

The only problem with these tiny camcorders is they weigh so little it's hard to keep shots steady so make sure you buy a tripod - Jon Chappell, Director/Cameraman.
