Once you understand the basics of film making then it is time to refine and add depth to your skills. This course will help you enhance your material to the extent that you will begin to stand out from the crowd.

Course Content:

All courses are structured so that crucial theory is interspersed with practical exercises designed to reinforce your newly learned skills.

• Recap pre filming kit checks, location rece's and recording disciplines. This is all stuff you should already know.
• Fully manual camera operation. (no auto's!)
• Rigging & operating radio mic's.
• Painting with light & using reflectors.
• Creating a rich look with shutter & filters. A top trick of the trade with the ND wheel!
• Practice tripod and handheld filming before developing dialogue responsive camera work.
• Better framing, depth & "the line".
• Rigging, lighting & recording 2 camera interviews.
• Directing skills including top-tips such as "the three pass method" & "every wide = 4 closeups".
• The latest filming techniques including DSLR filming, tapeless workflow & HD.
